֎ Syllabuses: The present and future syllabuses are given.

The syllabus year refers to the year in which the examination will be taken.

 

֎ Assessment: There are two Papers for this course. They are Paper4 and Paper5

  • Paper 4: A Level Structured Questions. The time is 2 hours.

This paper consists of a variable number of free response style questions of variable mark value. All questions will be based on the A Level syllabus but may require knowledge of material first encountered in the AS Level syllabus. Candidates will answer all questions. Candidates will answer on the question paper.

Total marks for this paper is 100. Weighting for absolutely A2 is 77%. The combined A level weighting is 38.5%.

  • Paper 5: Planning, Analysis and Evaluation. The time is 1 hour 15 minutes.

This paper consists of a variable number of questions of variable mark value based on the practical skills of planning, analysis and evaluation. The context of the questions may be outside the syllabus content, but candidates will be assessed on their practical skills of planning, analysis and evaluation rather than their knowledge of theory. Candidates will answer all questions. Candidates will answer on the question paper.

Total marks for this paper is 30. Weighting for absolutely A2 is 23%. The combined A level weighting is 11.5%.
